Design statement

My client is a painter. He loves collecting paintings and some daily necessities used in his life. Collecting paintings is his pursuit of art, and collecting daily necessities is his memory of life.

Since the client attaches great importance to the repeatability of art, and most of the frames and frames in the paintings drawn by the client are square, I use the positive block as the basic module in my design, which can make people feel more in this artistic atmosphere and make it flexible to push and slide.

My client, who had been shot in a previous studio, was very safety conscious, so I divided the space into private and public Spaces. Private space includes living area, and public space includes working area and display area. The two materials used in Display area, like tinfoil and silver, are also the two most preferred materials in the client’s previous studio.

In terms of functions, I found that the walls in research3 can slide, which can enhance the functionality of a small space and make the space flexible. Therefore, the blocks as basic modules are endowed with sliding and pushing functions. A piece of furniture has multiple functions, so that it can play a maximum role in this small space.
